Company IHC Merwede Design (Ltd.) has been established since 2002 as an engineering office in Komárno, Slovakia. Provides complex project services in fields of the shipbuilding industry, general mechanical engineering and chemical / petrochemical plant design.
Company's specialists native in traditional shipbuilding environment (Komárno) are skilled to carry out the entire range of engineering and ship design services, including initial projects, engineering calculations, design works, and NC cutting information. The special CAE/CAD/CAM software packages PIAS and NUPAS-CADMATIC Hull & Piping makes the work of naval architects and designers easier, enabling completelly computerized project execution.
Company's background in mechanical engineering originates from experiences gained in several machine-works of South Slovakia. On the base of this know-how the firm offers complex solutions of production processes, like logistical concepts, automation systems, engineering analyses, machinery design and process control systems. Engineering and designing process is supported by CAD systems AutoCAD /Inventor and UNIGRAPHICS, while system ANSYS enables experts to perform FEM strength analyses with the possibility of direct data transfer from the CAD system.
The domain of chemical / petrochemical plants is serviced by engineers experienced with machinery and pipeline design particularly in shipbuilding industry. Tools of the system NUPAS-CADMATIC Piping ensure effective and precise model creation and consecutive generation of technical documentation.
In addition the company provides industrial design projects like general design, transport design or interior design, in range from simple visualization tasks up to futuristic and artistic impressions. Output informations and materials produced by systems AutoCAD, Autodesk VIZ and UNIGRAPHICS are accomplished for presentation purposes.
