Royal IHC expands strategic activities in offshore and mining

Royal IHC has expanded its activities with the acquisition of Fraser Hydraulic Power (FHP) in the UK and Robbins Technology Group (RTG) in Brisbane, Australia. With these latest acquisitions, IHC has expanded its offshore rental fleet and gained a stronger foothold in the mining market respectively.

Royal IHC names 1,840m3 TSHD MAHURY

Royal IHC has named the MAHURY, a 1,840m3 capacity twin-screw trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) on 29 October 2015 at its partner MTG Dolphin's shipyard in Varna, Bulgaria. The new TSHD is Baggerbedrijf de Boer – Dutch Dredging's fourth IHC-built vessel. The ceremony was performed by Mrs Gressier, who was invited to perform the naming of the ship due to the close (working) relationship between Dutch Dredging and the Gressier family.

Success for IHC Services

IHC Services has secured an order for a substantial renovation project for a vessel owned by Huta Marine Works Ltd in Saudi Arabia. Work on the HUTA 14 self-propelled cutter suction dredger (SPCSD) will be carried out by IHC Middle East based in Dubai, and the Service Operations department in The Netherlands.

On 14 August, Royal IHC successfully launched the MAHURY, a 1,840m3 capacity twin-screw trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD), at partner shipyard MTG Dolphin Shipyard in Varna, Bulgaria. The vessel is being built for Baggerbedrijf de Boer - Dutch Dredging, whose Managing Director C.J. van de Graaf Jr, attended the launch.
