Royal IHC delivers 1,840m3 TSHD MAHURY

On 18 February 2016, Royal IHC delivered the trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) MAHURY to Baggerbedrijf de Boer – Dutch Dredging. The twin-screw TSHD was built at IHC's partner shipyard, MTG Dolphin, in Varna, Bulgaria.

The MAHURY was successfully launched on 14 August and named on 29 October 2015 in Varna. It is the fourth TSHD of Baggerbedrijf de Boer – Dutch Dredging built by IHC, following the ALBATROS, AMAZONE and LESSE.

Royal IHC and DIHAG jointly acquire Allard-Europe

Royal IHC and German company DIHAG Holding GmbH have jointly acquired the Belgian steel and iron foundry, Allard-Europe NV. IHC and DIHAG each take an equity stake of 40% and 60% respectively.

Royal IHC secures DEME order for multifunctional 15,000m3 TSHD

Royal IHC has been awarded the contract for the design, construction and delivery of a multifunctional dredging vessel to DEME in Belgium. Named the BONNY RIVER, the 15,000m3 trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) will be supplied with an extended suction pipe, and an additional suction pipe with heavy-duty rock draghead, enabling the vessel to operate in hard soil areas.

IHC Beaver 65 DDSP ordered by Van Oord

Van Oord has ordered a new cutter suction dredger (CSD) from Royal IHC. The modular IHC Beaver® 65 DDSP will be named BIESBOSCH. Built at the yard in Sliedrecht, it will be delivered on 1 April 2016 and is due to start work on the Zeetoegang IJmuiden project. This is part of a locks programme carried out for the Dutch Department of Public Works.
